Service/Assignment Selections

Please select the service areas in which you possess interest and/or experience in:

Welcome Center: The Client Services Assistant assigned to the Welcome Center is responsible for providing direct assistance to individuals in securing housing, food, jobs, or any other resource to improve daily living conditions. Staff accomplish these goals by providing a safe and supportive learning environment. Staff may be called upon to do psycho-educational groups, transporting clients, and attending community events to educate the public regarding County mental health services and resources. This population requires that staff possess public service skills and a genuine desire to engage those who are seeking services.
Court Supervised Visitation: The Client Services Assistant assigned to the Visitation Unit is responsible for providing direct supervision for court ordered visits to families. This includes: transportation of children to and from their placements to County designated visitation areas, close supervision of interactions between the parents and children, documentation, the ability to set limits and boundaries with families during visits, and interacting and working with parents, children, foster care providers and social workers.
Public Guardian: The Client Services Assistant assigned to the Public Guardian/Public Administrator team is responsible for supporting staff by transporting mental health/behavioral health clients from home or residential facilities, to and from medical appointments, and to court. Staff must have the ability to communicate well with clients who are mentally ill as well as with the client's care providers at residential facilities, hospitals, or care centers. The Client Services Assistant may also be required to assist clients with making appointments, inventory current client items, organize the assets, and keep the public guardian deputies informed of updates to the client's care including documentation in electronic records.
In-Home Support Services: The Client Services Assistant working with In-Home Support Services provides support to ongoing field-based caseworkers. Staff support caseworkers in providing assistance with making appointments, keeping caseworkers aware of updates, managing caseworker calendars, sending out paperwork, and maintaining electronic records.
Case Aide Services: The Client Services Assistant assigned as a Case Aide provides case assistance to child welfare social work teams. These tasks may include transporting clients to appointments, making referrals to programs and agencies including following up with referral status. They ensure social workers are receiving updates on clients from various service providers such as those who provide substance abuse treatment, culturally specific counseling and other services included in the client's case plan. They often provide brokerage and linkages to Foster Family Agencies (FFAs)including tracking services, and providing updates to the social workers. Case Aides in these roles also provide support to foster families who may not have the same support as those connected to FFAs. Case Aides often provide assistance to the emergency foster placements in terms of ensuring the necessary supports are in place and providing updates regularly to both the placement and the social workers.
Whole Person Care: The Client Services Assistant assigned to Whole Person Care works with homeless individuals that may be facing multiple difficulties, such as repeat emergency room visits, chronic health conditions, mental health problems, and/or substance use issues. Client Services Assistants work directly with these individuals, delivering services such as: providing linkage to community resources, providing transportation, educating about important life skills, and helping with social security applications.
