EXTRA-HIRE OPPORTUNITY

Installer

Communications Division

The Department of Public Works, Communication Division is seeking an Installer for a full time temporary extra hire position. The candidate will have an electronics background and knowledge of basic electronic theory, including Ohms Law, AC/DC theory, audio and radio frequency circuits. Also desirable is knowledge of installation and repair principles of mobile radio equipment, light bars, wiring, auto electrical systems and basic auto body work. Must be able to read and interpret simple electronic drawings, diagrams and measurements, and have a working knowledge of mathematics for electronic technology. The ideal candidate uses sound independent judgment within established procedural guidelines and is knowledgeable regarding the safe operation of hand and power tools used in facility and equipment maintenance and repair.

Community Library Specialist & Mobile Library Assistant

F.L.A.G.ship Program

Marin County Free Library is looking for Community Library Specialists and Mobile Library Assistants to assist in promoting the F.L.A.G.ship Program offering education and health workshops to young children and their families in remote and underserved areas of Marin County.  The ideal candidates for these part-time, temporary positions will be bilingual (Spanish/English) and enjoy working with young children and their families.  Experience driving a large vehicle is preferred.  For more information about these positions, please contact Bonny White at bnwhite@marincounty.org.

The Marin County Health and Human Services Department, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services is seeking licensed or license-eligible mental health professionals for full or part time temporary extra hire positions in Children’s Mental Health. The candidate will have knowledge of and experience with child and youth mental health assessment, case management, treatment and implementing appropriate family therapy interventions.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Green Business Program Internship

The Marin County Sustainability Team is looking for a student intern who is interested in sustainability as it relates to implementation of the County’s Green Business Program. The intern will be assigned to support implementation of the Marin Green Business Program including conducting outreach to businesses, compiling resources for greening operations, consulting with applicants and current participants, conducting site visits to verify compliance, and supporting the Sustainability Team on a variety of other tasks as needed.  For more information and directions to apply, please see flyer.  Submit all materials by the application deadline: Friday, April 21, 2017. 


INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Communications Public Administration Internship

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Marin County Sheriff's Office Intern/Cadet

The Cadet/Intern Program offers college students a rewarding hands-on learning experience in law enforcement.  Cadet/Interns are paid an hourly wage and work part-time from 16-25 hours per week depending on availability.  New Cadets are typically placed at Step 3 of the salary range, $14.72/hr.

Crisis Specialist/Licensed Crisis Specialist

Mobile Crisis Response Team, Jail Mental Health and Crisis Stabilization Unit

The Marin County Health and Human Service Department, Behavioral Health & Recovery Services is currently seeking licensed or license-eligible clinicians.  These positions will provide coverage as needed.  It is not necessary to be able to cover needs in all three units.

The ideal candidate has experience working in behavioral health crisis and/or forensic settings. You must able to work independently and as part of a team and be interested and willing to provide follow up support when indicated. Experience partnering with law enforcement and writing 5150 holds while not required, is highly desirable.

 HOPE and Senior Peer Counseling Program

The Marin County Health & Human Services Department, HOPE and Senior Peer Counseling Program, is currently seeking Mental Health Practitioners interested in  a full-time, extra hire opportunity.  The ideal candidate for this position will have  mental health case management background and will be comfortable working with a diverse and vulnerable older adult population.  Candidate must have experience in home-based services and must be comfortable meeting clients wherever they may be. They should be able to work in a high volume, fast paced work environment and be able to manage psychiatric crisis.

Mental Health Registered Nurse

 Psychiatric Emergency Services

The Marin County Health & Human Services Department is seeking Mental Health Registered Nurses interested in extra hire positions who have previous experience working in a mental health setting, working in a multi-disciplinary team, have strong nursing assessment skills and are comfortable screening for medical and substance abuse issues.  The RN will function as the registered nurse on duty at Marin County Psychiatric Emergency Services.
