Loudoun County Public Library is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Children's Services Librarian. This is a regular position with daily opportunities to serve children and the community. This position serves a growing and diverse community by creating and conducting library programs, story times and book discussions; providing reader’s advisory and reference and circulation service; building relationships with schools, homeschoolers and other community partners; and using new media and social networking tools to promote reading and learning. Join our dream team, where imagination, creativity, enthusiasm, and knowledge are appreciated. This position may supervise subordinate staff and volunteers.
Requires a Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution. Schedule will vary, including weekends and evenings.
Ability to lift books and other materials and move heavy book carts. Some bending and stooping required.
