Adaptive Equipment Technician I (#MCCF01)
Summary StatementA class incumbent is involved in the construction, repair, maintenance and modification of client seating/positioning systems at an institutional facility.
Nature and ScopeA class incumbent reports to a technical supervisor and is responsible for constructing and repairing wheelchairs with individualized seating systems and other adaptive equipment. A class incumbent performs routine inspections of wheelchairs and responds to priority requests. Work also includes maintenance of equipment, supplies and work records. A class incumbent may provide training/instructions to individuals on the use and care of wheelchairs.
