An incumbent in this class is responsible for supervising and participating in coordinating and facilitating production processes and enhancement and system testing activities of an enterprise resource integrated information system at the State policy level.
Nature and Scope
A class incumbent reports to an administrative superior and is responsible, as part of an ERP Service Delivery Team, for performing/supervising advanced level enterprise resource information management systems planning and development work which is both administrative and technical in nature and involves implementing and testing system enhancement and ongoing maintenance requests. Work includes supervising production processes and analyzing functional and/or system processes or problems, developing viable solutions and implementing system enhancements and modifications necessary to effectively operate a complex enterprise resource information system at the State policy level. The incumbent reviews maintenance requests and enhancement proposals in order to determine cost-effectiveness and makes recommendations to superiors. A significant aspect of the work involves working with diverse segments of various State Organizations' employees to implement system objectives, recommendations and directives. The incumbent provides advisory functional and system development services to ensure efficient and proper control of the State's enterprise resource planning systems. In addition, an incumbent will oversee the development and maintenance of ERP operational documentation including system design documentation and the preparation, testing and evaluation of operational processes. Incumbent will implement system changes and enhancement using change management software.

Plans, assigns, reviews and evaluates the work of staff assigned to the examination, analysis, modification, testing, implementation and maintenance of an integrated enterprise resource planning system(s).
Analyzes system enhancement proposals to ensure that request is appropriate and effective. Works with technology staff in the development and implementation of approved system enhancements. Develops plans for system testing prior to implementation. Approves design prior to final implementation.
Ensures the system remains on-line and operational through timely and accurate troubleshooting procedures.
Uses enterprise system tools and resources to create, modify, or correct actions in the enterprise system. Supervise and facilitate production processes and schedules.
Oversees the development and implementation of continual upgrading and enhancement of the system through testing and evaluation of new and revised information management techniques and methodologies.
Provides training and direction to staff to ensure that systems testing and documentation activities are thorough and accurate data records are maintained.
Provides consultative services to agency users in the resolution of their problems with the state's enterprise resource information system(s).
Prepares reports and maintains records of project status and related efforts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for ERP Systems Supervisor Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Three years experience in planning, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining an integrated information system.
Three years experience in information system functional support which includes planning for informational needs to initiate system changes; developing user, operational and program documentation; coordinating, overseeing and participating in the testing of new/modified computer program enhancements by creating test data, analyzing the systems actions and determining critical system performance to ensure applications meet user needs.
Six months experience in integrated information system projects which includes, documenting business processes, conducting data analysis and developing test plans.
Knowledge of database management concepts and systems development lifecycle methodology.
Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through course work, academic training, training provided through an employer, or performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others; OR supervising staff which may include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others; OR supervising through subordinate supervisors a group of professional, technical, and clerical employees.
