Candidates’ responses to the Supplemental Questionnaire will be used to evaluate your experience including the knowledge, skills and abilities that you possess in job related areas identified as critical for successful performance, which may include but are not limited to: knowledge of principles and practices of human services program development and administration; knowledge of the principles of budget preparation and administration; knowledge of grant processes and procedures; ability to problem solving and work independently; ability to interpret complex rules, regulations, policies and procedures; human relations ability; ability to interpret data; and ability to make decision.

All responses to the Supplemental Questionnaire are subject to verification and must be consistent with the information provided in your employment application.


 

1. Describe your experience developing, managing, and administering contracts. Be sure to include information about the following in your response:

  • The various types of contract documents and processes you have been involved with (e.g. requests for proposals, contracts, and memorandums of understanding)
  • The size and complexity of contracts (e.g. dollar amount, number of services requested)
  • Your role (e.g. wrote contracts, developed budgets, managed deliverables, participated in bid conferences) and level of responsibility in the process
 

2. Describe your experience developing, managing, and administering budgets. Be sure to include information about the following in your response:

  • The types of funding sources (e.g. federal, state, local, private, foundations)
  • The size and complexity of budgets (e.g. dollar amount, number of funding sources, number of programs)
  • Your role (e.g. negotiated budgets, performed budget modifications, conducted budget analysis) and level of responsibility in the process
 

3. Describe your experience interpreting and implementing complex rules, regulations, and/or policies and procedures. Be sure to include information about the following in your response:

  • Your analysis and the steps you took towards implementation
  • Specific technical documents you worked on and the process for developing the documents
  • Any challenge you encountered and how it was resolved
 

4. Describe any in depth analysis you have performed which led you to design, develop, or enhance reports which improved performance or the reporting of performance. Be sure to include information about the following in your response:

  • The reason for the analysis
