The purpose of this Supplemental Application is to determine your knowledge, skills, and abilities in job-related areas that have been identified as critical for satisfactory performance in the 5266 Architectural Associate II position. This information should be consistent with the information on your application and is subject to verification. The hiring department may review this information as part of their selection process. Keep a copy of your application materials for your own records.

The supplemental application will be used to determine candidates' scores and ranks on the eligible list. It is suggested that you review the questions before starting, prepare your narrative-style responses in a word processing document, and then paste them into the application.

Describe your specific experience in architectural design, design development, bidding and construction.  List your experience in the preparation of design and construction documents. What experience do you have reviewing cost estimates, LEED documents, code compliance and permitting, and coordination with specification?

Describe your experience using design and drafting software in your career. List all electronic design and drafting software programs you have proficiency with and at what level.  List any and all Autodesk certifications you have with REVIT and/or AutoCAD and how many years of experience you have working with these programs?  What 3D programs are you most proficient with, how do you use them and at what stages in the design process?  What other technical software/programs have you used for project development?

Describe your Construction Administration (CA) experience. In your response, include CA projects that you have participated in, your role and the project size, budget and location.  Also list any CA tools and processes that you have used, including software, templates, etc.

Describe your experience organizing and coordinating a project A-E team to prepare both design and construction phase documents. In your response, include: considerations for team formation; assigning tasks; monitoring progress and quality assurance; managing stakeholders; overall project coordination; and appraisal of staff project performance. Give specific examples & details from projects you have done.

Describe a project and/or accomplishment that you consider to be the one of the most significant in your career and how you approached the project and/or accomplishment. How did your approach affect the project and/or accomplishment? Knowing what you know now, is there anything you would have done differently?

1) a cover letter specifically indicating how you meet the Minimum Qualifications as stated in the announcement;

4) verification of qualifying education, experience and valid driver’s license.
