The purpose of this Supplemental Questionnaire is to determine your knowledge, skills, and abilities in job-related areas that have been identified as critical for satisfactory performance in this position. All relevant experience, education and/or training must be on the supplemental questionnaire in order to be reviewed in the minimum qualifications and rating process to determine candidates’ score on the Supplemental Questionnaire Evaluation. This information should be consistent with the information on your application (employment record, not resume) and are subject to verification.

All of your responses to the questionnaire MUST be supplied in the spaces provided. Please provide all information requested even if the information may appear redundant. Please be thorough but concise.

Describing a variety of experiences will provide the evaluating committee with a better understanding of the breadth and depth of your experiences. Include the name of the employer(s), dates of experience, and the name and phone number of verifiable sources for EACH question.

1. Describe a capital project and/or accomplishment related to landscape architecture that you consider one of the most significant in your career. How did you approach the project? How did your approach affect the project? Knowing what you know now, is there anything you would have done differently? Why or why not? Please indicate the dates of employment and name(s) of the employer(s) where you gained the experience.

 

2. Provide a recent example where you managed a project team to successfully deliver a major landscape project. What tools did you utilize to meet project budget and schedule? How did you deal with unanticipated scope changes? What is the process that you used to balance competing priorities between client expectations and limited budgets? Please indicate the dates of employment and name(s) of the employer(s) where you gained the experience.

 

3. Based on your past experience of taking a new role, or joining an organization in a new role, please describe how you have planned for your success in a new role and/or new organization. Please describe the actions you have taken in the first 180 days of a new role. Please describe how you have developed productive working relationships with your supervisors, peers and your team members coming into a new role and/or organization. What would you do differently based on what you know today? Please indicate the dates of employment and name(s) of the employer(s) where you gained the experience.
