NOTE: Absolutely no exceptions may be made to this requirement.  No candidate will be considered for this position unless he or she possesses a minimum of 3 years of child support enforcement experience.  This recruitment is not for the entry-level position in this series.

The following types of experience will substitute for the education requirement:

Technical administrative experience in the functional areas of child support, financial underwriting, insurance adjusting, credit research, collections, eligibility determination for welfare; or other related operations area involving substantial contact with clients in a legal/paralegal environment.

Examples:

A candidate has completed only one year of college but has 1 year of collections experience.  This is a valid substitution for the education requirement.  The candidate must still possess the required 3 years of child support enforcement experience and no exceptions may be made to this requirement. 

A candidate has no college credits but has 2 years of experience determining eligibility for welfare.  This is a valid substitution for the education requirement.  The candidate must still possess the required 3 years of child support enforcement experience and no exceptions may be made to this requirement. 

PLEASE NOTE: No amount of education or alternate type of experience can be substituted for the required 3 years of child support enforcement experience. 

 

I have not earned any college credits but I have 2 years of experience in the areas specified above.
I have earned some college credits but less than an Associate's degree. When I combine my college credits with my work experience in the above areas, I have enough experience in the areas specified above that I can meet the education requirement.
