All applicants are required to complete the Supplemental Questionnaire as part of the online application process. The purpose of Questions #1 through #4 of this Supplemental Questionnaire is to determine whether applicants possess the knowledge, skills and abilities in job-related areas that have been identified as critical for satisfactory performance in this position. Candidates who receive a passing score on the Written Core Examination will have Questions #1 through #4 on the Supplemental Questionnaire evaluated and scored. These Supplemental Questionnaire questions (questions #1 through #4) will be worth 50% of the candidates final score. The information provided should be consistent with the information on your application and is subject to verification.

I believe that I meet the Minimum Qualifications for Class 1823 Senior Administrative Analyst in the following manner (check one):

Read Notes A and B, which describe qualifying experience and specialized coursework related to the duties of Class 1823, before answering.

Notes on Qualifying Experience and Education:

A. Qualifying professional-level analytical experience must include at least one (1) year of recent verifiable experience in all of the following areas of contract administration: contractor solicitation and selection; contract development and production; review and processing of approvals; and contract maintenance. Any remaining required experience must be in one or more of the following functional areas: complex budget analysis, development and administration; complex financial/fiscal analysis and reporting; development of complex contracting systems and administration of competitive bid processes and complex contractual agreements; development and evaluation of complex management/administrative policy; complex grant administration and monitoring; complex program evaluation and planning; complex legislative analysis; complex economic analysis; or other functional areas related to the duties of positions in Class 1823, where the primary focus of the job is complex professional-level analysis for evaluation, recommendation, development and implementation of major programs and functions of department/organization. Analytical experience equivalent to the duties of Class 1822 is considered qualifying.

B. Coursework applicable to a baccalaureate or higher degree in specialized subject matter areas such as public or business administration, management, business law, contract law, public policy, urban studies, economics, statistical analysis, finance, accounting or other fields of study closely related to the essential functions of positions in Class 1823.

I currently possess a graduate degree (Master's degree or higher) from an accredited college or university, and three (3) years full-time equivalent experience performing professional-level analytical work as described in Note A.
I currently possess a graduate degree (Master's degree or higher) from an accredited college or university with major college coursework as described in Note B, and two (2) years full-time equivalent experience performing professional-level analytical work as described in Note A.
I currently possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, and four (4) years full-time equivalent experience performing professional-level analytical work as described in Note A.
I currently possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with major college coursework as described in Note B, and three (3) years full-time-equivalent experience performing professional-level analytical work as described in Note A.
I have completed 2 years of college units and possess additional years of qualifying experience to meet the substitution criteria.
1a.

The 1823 Senior Contracts Analyst may be responsible for any of the following types of contracts:

  • Formal Construction Contracts
  • Professional Services Contracts (including As-Needed Contracts)
  • Job Order Contracts

Choose one of the contract types above and describe in detail your role and level of responsibility in administering this type of contract for a large public-sector agency or related organization. Include a basic description of all the major steps or phases in this contracting process.
