ASSISTANT COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Introduction

The County of Santa Cruz is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as the Assistant County Administrative Officer (Assistant CAO). The Assistant CAO assists the County Administrative Officer with coordinating various County activities and is responsible for analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of complex problems involving planning, organizing and directing the organizational fiscal, legislative, and/or strategic planning activities of the County. This may include organizational and managerial analysis of County departments, evaluating fiscal and budgetary procedures and policies, and coordinating the fiscal activities of all County departments to assure maximum effectiveness of County resources. The Assistant CAO is an at-will position which serves at the pleasure of the County Administrative Officer and is not subject to civil service rules.
