Full time positions are available for:
MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER
JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Assembles parts, pieces, and products including the mechanical components using various tools and equipment per the engineering drawings. Performs other tasks as assigned by management. This position will also be responsible for safely operating forklift.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately assemble mechanical assembly per engineering drawings
Proficiently use hand tools required for assembly
Properly identify parts, pieces, products used in assembly
Efficiently perform visual inspections and identify quality defects
Effectively utilize designated systems to document quality defects
Understand and abide by all safety policies and requirements
Wear appropriate respiratory protection as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Reading and comprehension skills
Ability to comprehend instructions received both written and verbally provided
Basic computer systems utilization skills
Previous experience/certification in the operation of forklifts preferred
Ability to provide small hand tools needed (wrench, screwdriver, etc.)
Problem solving skills and basic thinking and reasoning skills
LEAN Manufacturing experience desired
Highly detail oriented, neat and organized
Must be reliable
Must be consistent in attitude, performance, teamwork
Technical or vocational training on specific mechanical systems assemblies’ a plus
Must be able to pass drug screen
Must be able to pass background check
