era-contact, family-owned and headquartered in Germany, develops, produces and sells worldwide electromechanical products such as electrical contacts, contact systems, connectors, automatic electrical couplers, cable harnesses and vehicle wiring supplying to the railway industry as well as to several industrial sectors. We have recently relocated to our US branch to our brand new facility in Liberty, SC. Besides its headquarters in Germany, our branch in Liberty, SC the company also has branch offices in Tunisia, Turkey, and China.

 

 

Potential employment opportunities exist for:

 

 

Electromechanical Assembler 

 

 

Qualifications and requirements include:    

 

 

 

  • Strong manufacturing and assembling skills
  • Electromechanical Assembling: minimum 2 years’ experience IPC 610/620 certified is a plus
  • Ability to read assembly drawing, blue prints, BOM
  • Assemble, mount and wire products to assembly drawings following all notes
  • Visually inspect products throughout assembly to ensure our quality standards are met.
  • Ability to work independently is necessary for this job
  • Operate technical equipment such as cutters, tweezers and pliers.
  • Knowledge of component identification.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
  • Preferably previous experience with rail products
  • Training will be at no charge to trainees.
  • Successful completion of the training program carries no obligation to accept any offer of employment, nor is an offer guaranteed.

 

1st SHIFT – Monday – Friday/8 HOUR DAYS

Selection Plan

All applications are first screened by the local SC Works office.  Those that meet the minimum qualifications are sent to the company for evaluation.  The company has the final decision on who is invited to continue in the process.  You will be contacted by phone or email if you are selected.
