Material Handler-Resin

 

 

 

 

Summary/Objective:  The Material Handler-Resin is responsible for the material handling and blending of resin and color concentrate for all presses.   

 

Essential Functions:                   

  • Thorough communications with incoming and outgoing teams to plan according and eliminate any chance of downtime due to waiting on resin or color concentrate.
  • Follows BOM instructions for using the correct material.
  • Mix and maintain proper ratios on all pre-mixes and to insure their accuracy. 
  • Insure that all premix, concentrates and resins are labeled properly.
  • Upon completion of a production job, makes sure resins and color concentrate are drained, labeled and weighed prior to storing in designated location.
  • Maintains blending goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organize manufacturing and warehouse area.
  • Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
  • Ensure that proper resin is at the conveying area and is ready for use. This includes planning ahead to have material dried (When necessary) at the time the mold goes in. 
  • Ensure no contamination of raw material at any time.
  • Labels materials (i.e. buckets, boxes, partial gaylords and other items) used to handle material from one point to another.
  • Maintains a FIFO method of resin utilization. 
  • Ensures all partials are used first.
  • Maintains adherence to company policies, safety/ergonomic standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The associate frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The associate is occasionally required to climb or balance. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:   

         

This is a full-time position Monday-Friday, core work hours: 1st shift- 7:00 am– 3:30 pm; 2nd shift 3:00pm-11:30pm; 3rd shift 11:00pm- 7:30am Flexible hours to be available Must be available to work weekends when requested from supervisor

 

 

Required Education and Experience: 

 

  • High School Diploma/GED Required.
  • 6months- 1 year experience in mixing and visually inspecting materials.
  • Forklift experience required.
