PA Solutions has a Junior Controls Technician position available in its Greenville, SC office. This position requires a sharp mind, a sincere dedication, and hard work. Controls Engineers often work long hours in challenging environments with tight deadlines. PA Solutions has an apprenticeship program available for entry level workers that have the ability to learn engineering concepts and terminology with introductory instruction and sustained guidance.

Relocation expenses are not allocated for this position and Visa sponsorship is not available. Candidates must be local to the Greenville, SC office. 

Job Description

Junior Controls Technicians work under the direction of senior staff to design, develop, install, and support automation hardware and software for the company’s many automotive customers. 

Responsibilities/Duties

• Work with other members of the project team, both internal and external, to develop a controls architecture that provides the functionality required, based on the customer’s standards and controls specifications
• Design and develop software applications based on given requirements and specifications
• Understand communication interface, networking and create specifications based on these requirements
• Review, repair and redesign legacy code
• Troubleshoot issues with existing equipment
• Write user manuals to communicate functionality of developed programs
• Works with team members, customers, project managers, designers, toolmakers, and electricians to solve problems in order to provide the customer with a product or service compliant with their requirements
• Ensures that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct
• Adheres to all health and safety rules and procedures

 Job Skills and Requirements

• Ability to learn and understand the basic technical elements of what we do
• Develop understanding of electrical, electronic, or robotic hardware; or a high level of computer programming knowledge; C, C++ and C# highly preferred.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks with superb accuracy
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and professional etiquette in the workplace or on a customer site
• Strong sense of urgency and problem solving skills
• Teamwork skills
• Adhere to a fast placed work environment
• Utilize what is taught in training to independently perform required tasks
• Must be willing to travel a minimum of 30%

Educational Requirements

Some post-secondary education (university, community college, trade school, technical school, etc.) is required.
