Industrial Painters

 

 

 

 

Job Duties:  

 

  • Paint surfaces using spray guns, brushes, rollers and other paint processes to exacting quality standards
  • Prepare equipment and parts for the painting process (including masking/taping, shot blasting, air cleaning, etc.)
  • Maintain all related equipment used for painting in good working condition
  • Perform a variety of duties to spray paint products or parts following established methods and procedures
  • Clean spray guns, brushes, rollers, flushes hoses, cleans booths and accessory equipment
  • Operate a variety of overhead lifting devices and paint booth conveyor system
  • Keep work station/area clean and free from safety hazards, adhere to safety requirements at all times
  • Rotate to various positions within the job function area to perform related activities
  • Work in a highly structured environment, strictly adhering to provided standard work instructions
  • Actively participate in process improvement activities (safety, quality and productivity)
  • Ability to work effectively with others and to guide and train them on tasks and procedures
  • Work as a team member and co-operates with co-workers
  • Ability to work overtime when required, including weekends
  • Complete all other duties, as assigned

 

 

 

 

Experience Required: 

 

 

  • High School diploma (or GED)
  • 1 year of painting experience in a manufacturing operation
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient  in the execution of standardized methods and procedures
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and practices
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior
