Toray Carbon Fibers America, Inc. is the world's largest producer of PAN (polyacrylonitrile)-based carbon fibers; and is in the process of building a carbon fiber plant in Moore, SC.

Toray Carbon Fibers America, Inc. a world leader in the manufacturing of carbon fiber is seeking qualified applicants for an instrumentation and controls technician for our new South Carolina facility.

Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

 

  • Must be able to handle physically demanding work and operate in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work a 12 hour rotating shift plus overtime when required.
  • Pack finished quality product, perform daily forklift operations, make labels and perform computer data entry.
  • Perform visual quality inspections.
  • Must be able to operate several types of equipment.
  • May be requested to attend training in out of state location for at least two weeks.

 

 

 

 

General requirements include, but are not limited to:

     

  • All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years previous related experience required. 
  • Candidates must possess basic mathematics skills, ability to analyze and locate information, communication, computer and interpersonal skills 

 

Starting wage is $12.38 per hour with performance based progression raises every six months until employee reaches top out rate of $16.88.
