Transition Coordinator, 0844

Position location: TBD, Statewide – DVR Administration

Essential Functions
This is a leadership position which maintains collaborative working relationships with transition partner agencies and groups; advises and consults with State Department of Education Special Education administrators, local education agencies, school superintendents, vocational rehabilitation (VR) and visual services (VS) management and specialists, workforce programs, business associations, employers and post-secondary education institutions concerning the development and maintenance of the statewide transition program for Vocational Rehabilitation and Visual Services; manages the transition program curriculum and resource needs; coordinates planning activities  related to the statewide system of transition services for youth with disabilities; provides leadership and technical support for the VR/VS state plan development process and transition projects; develops and oversees contracts and agreements with local education agencies, employment programs and other transition program partners.

Office location will be dependent upon selected applicant. Must be willing to perform extensive job related travel.

Application must include cover letter, resume, copy of transcript showing Master’s Degree and any current certifications/credentials.

Preferred Education and Experience Requirements:  
Master’s degree in counseling, vocational rehabilitation, education or a closely related field and five years of professional experience working with individuals with disabilities.  Prefer applicants with a minimum of three years of experience in an administrative or managerial capacity in any field.

Salary: 
Salary commensurate with education and experience with an annual salary range from $71,610.00 to $75,190.50.
