The Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) is a government agency providing services to other Oklahoma government agencies. The Information Services Division (ISD) is seeking two full-time Agency Advocates for our Oklahoma City location. This is an unclassified position within Oklahoma state government.  OMES offers a comprehensive Benefits Packet and a salary up to $55,000 based on education and experience. 

Daily Activities:

This position is assigned responsibilities related to overall tactical planning and coordinating communications with individual agencies for information technology needs.  This includes serving as the point-of-contact for customer complaints and issues; elevating cases; and coordinating meetings between the agency and IT staff to discuss needs, proposals, etc.   The position works with users, senior management and others to identify and define long-range information services requirements, develop a plan of approach, determine costs and resources required, and provide the conduit for the development of proposals for business leadership.  This role’s primary function is to coordinate the communication with agencies that are using ISD services.

• Attends ISD Operational meetings to advocate for the customer and end users.
• Consults with senior management and users regarding their business needs.
• Consults with information technology service owners regarding their outstanding tickets and requests and information technology needs of partners.
• Serves as single point-of-contact for partners requesting services that require information technology services and break fixes.
• Coordinates the communication of completed and in-progress cases to partners and senior management.
• Consults with senior management and users regarding their concerns..
• Works with customers to identify product and location criticality levels.
• Trains staff and partners in the process and procedures of proposal requests, Service Requests, Incident and Problem handling.
• Improves ISD Operating Processes and Procedures.
• Acts as an expert on customer management in various capacities, strategy meetings, and product development opportunities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Business or other related  degree and three years of professional experience.   A master’s degree may be substituted for two years of experience or two years of experience may be substituted for each year of a degree up to a maximum of eight years
