The Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) is a government agency providing services to other Oklahoma government agencies. We work toward the goals of capitalizing on available resources, continuing to seek cost saving opportunities and elevating our level of service. We are seeking a full time, unclassified Procurement Specialist Assistant for the Agency Business Services (ABS) in Oklahoma City. We offer a comprehensive Benefits Packet, and a competitive annual salary of $36,000 based on education and experience.
The Procurement Specialist Assistant will assist the procurement department with daily duties.
The principal activities include the following:
*Assist with the acquisition of various equipment, supplies, services, software and maintenance.
*Ensure agency is using the most appropriate purchasing methods for products, services, supplies and resources (SW Contract vendor, Interagency, Open Market, etc.)
*Image documents as required
*Post agency wide announcements when necessary
*Coordination with vendors
*Assist with coordinating budget and expenditure issues related to purchasing, change orders and closing out encumbrances.
*Review purchasing documents for predetermined requirements.
*Coordinate with ABS agencies with acquisition requests specific to agency needs.
*Other duties may be assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field plus one (1) year of experience as an assistant or higher level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preference may be given to candidates with prior procurement exposure, knowledge or skills.
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in the use of PeopleSoft Procurement software.
