The Information Services Division (ISD) is seeking a full-time .NET Developer, for our Oklahoma City location. This is an unclassified position within Oklahoma state government. Click here to view our comprehensive Benefits Packet.
This position will manage the operational processes, develop and maintain software for .NET style applications, respond to ad hoc query requests and other service requests. Responsible for planning and development of application systems to support the business needs of the organization. This includes review and analysis of user functions and activities, evaluation of available resources and current systems, and the development of appropriate programs or systems. Works with users, management and others to identify and define long and short-range information services requirements. Assist in the decision-making process in order to best utilize existing technologies and to help troubleshoot and correct any errors in processing.
Provide primary programming and operational support for the following EBD applications (OMES Employee Benefits Dept) and others as assigned:
•Benefits Administration System (BAS)
Provide secondary programming support for the DCAM applications (OMES Dept of Central Asset Mgmt) and others as assigned:
•CAP (Construction and Property Management)
One year experience designing and developing web applications, Completion of 18 hours of computer science/management information systems course work at an accredited college of university (or a comparable vocational of technical education resulting in certification in computer programming.); or Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in computer programming; or an equivalent combination of education and experience derived from substituting one additional year of experience for six hours of required education.
Solid Object Oriented programming skills with C#.
Experience in developing reporting tools in .NET utilizing Microsoft Reporting Services.
SharePoint development experience
Programming Documentation Skills.
Develop high-level and detail design specifications
MS Word and MS Excel.
SQL Server database
Perform requirements gathering, analysis, and specification
Candidate should possess a strong Knowledge of computer technology; programming language; and coding processes and security measures. Ability is required to review and translate specifications to write programs to produce desired results; develop and use appropriate programs and systems Ability to review and analyze verbal and written user requests and other information and design appropriate programs and systems; Ability to communicate effectively organize and present fact and opinions clearly and concisely; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and school districts. Requires detail-oriented self-starter with superb follow-up skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.
Ability to work effectively with customers, agency staff and other state agency staffs. Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of interpersonal skills in both verbal and written communications.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to work with mathematical/accounting concepts such as debits & credits and to apply concepts to practical situations.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in .Net and C# programming & SQL.
Travel in and out of state on an as needed basis.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to touch, handle or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift, and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
