The Information Services Division is seeking a full time Senior Web Developer at our Oklahoma City location to provide support to the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. This is an Unclassified, position within Oklahoma State Government. In addition to a comprehensive Benefits Packet the annual salary for this position is up to $55,000.00 based on education and experience.
The Senior Web Developer (Visual Basic, .NET and C#.NET) has responsibility for the completion of software enhancements, code development, process and code reviews on web platforms and desktop applications for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. Under general supervision and with high level technical expertise, the Senior Programmer will monitor day-to-day operation on the windows platform and work with the state’s vendors to improve the application response, ensure consistent upgrades and initiate platform appropriate change control processes. This position is permanently assigned to the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics.
Develop software for ASP.NET Web, Windows, and IOS applications
Maintain in-depth knowledge of current and emerging applications, technologies and standards
Assist in the preparation and presentation of business proposals to departments and senior management
Conducts planning, analysis and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks
Establish project objectives and plans by analyzing project requirements and collaborating with management
Understand scope and high level requirements and lead the solution elaboration and implementation process
Analyzes requirements, and translates business requirements into product designs
Prepares consolidated project status reporting
Mentor and coach team members of varying skill levels and competencies to achieve optimal performance
Coordinate and report status on development tasks (design, unit test, code, source control) and issue resolution among developers
Writes technical specifications and other forms of documentation
Suggests technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems
Create stored procedures, queries and functions in co-ordination with DBA’s
Bachelor's Degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
4 years job related work experience
Applicants must be willing and able to pass a background investigation, drug screen and polygraph before employment begins.
Preferences may be given to applicants that have experience with IOS programming.
