Main Purpose of Job

The Maryland Health Care Commission is an independent State agency responsible for planning for health system needs and promoting informed decision-making by providing timely and accurate information on the quality of health care services to policymakers, purchasers, providers, and the public.

The Center for Quality Measurement and Reporting is seeking a Program Manager to support the Hospital Quality Reporting Initiative (HQI). This position will assist with program development and manage operational aspects of the new initiative including interfacing with providers, contractors and the public; data collection and management of quality measures files; development and implementation of quality control activities to ensure program and data integrity; coordination of communication strategies (e.g., webinars, meetings, etc.) designed to disseminate new policy and program requirements to the healthcare industry. The person filling this position must have experience in healthcare field preferably in quality measurement in hospital settings. The position requires strong analytic, interpersonal and writing skills and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and five years’ related experience in health care field. Demonstrated experience with MS Excel or other data analytics tool is required.  A Master’s Degree in the health care field can substitute for two years’ experience.

 This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
