This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.

Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Assists the Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Pretrial Division Services (DPDS) in ensuring timely delivery of contracted physical and behavioral healthcare to inmates and detainees including intake, outpatient ambulatory ,primary and preventive care, dental and ophthalmic care, chronic care and special needs care, emergency services , methadone detoxification , laboratory services medications to include; outpatient specialty care consultations, inpatient hospital care, onsite infirmary care services and discharge/re-entry services, (Herein after Inmate Health Care).
Identifies and pursues opportunities to reduce or mitigate the cost of providing care, and facilitation of decrease transport/overtime. Responsibilities will also include: liaison with the Compliance Office, review of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Medical Advisory Counsel (MAC) meeting minutes, representing the Deputy Commissioner at clinical services meetings when indicated, oversite interface with the office of clinical services staff, Agency Contract Operations Monitor (ACOM), flagging poor outcomes, process collapse, attending contracted clinical staff CQI and Infectious disease meetings if required, interfacing with ITCD to facilitate optimization of the use of the electronic health record system. Working to identify better clinical efficiencies regarding clinical space, clinical process and custody contractor communication /processes, timeliness and review of clinical contractor report submissions. Attends all meetings identified by the facility necessary to provide clinical management and oversight.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Masters Degree in Public Health Administration
Experience: Six (6) years managing primary, secondary, and tertiary physical and behavioral health services experience at least one (1) year of which must have been drafting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and negotiating contracts.
