This is a Management Service position.  The incumbent will serve at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.

POSITION DUTIES

This position will report to the Deputy Director of the Revenue Administration Division. The main responsibility is to direct the operation of the Payment Processing, Revenue Accounting, Project Management and Processing Control Sections. Other duties to be assigned to this position may include serving as point of contact for the Division on Legislative and Internal Audits.

PLEASE NOTE:  Employee must be able to work in a full-time capacity: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays and evenings as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Experience:  Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible management experience in leadership positions.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in accounting, management information systems, tax or other related field. Licensed CPA.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan, direct and administer all aspects of a major operations unit.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish goals, standards and controls to meet division objectives.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan, coordinate, supervise and evaluate the work of subordinate managers.
  • Demonstrate ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to organize, lead and manage multiple functions and tasks.
  • Confidence, self motivation and good conflict resolution skills.
  • Dependable with a history of regular attendance.

EXAMINATION PROCESS

Only applicants who meet the minimum and selective qualifications for this recruitment will be considered for this opportunity. The examination will consist of a rating of your education, training and experience. It is essential that you submit complete and accurate information on your application in order to determine if you meet the qualifications as specified above. Due to the nature of this list, all qualified applicants are placed on an unranked list of candidates and will remain active on this list for at least one year.  

Qualifying applicants are subject to an oral interview. Prior to appointment, the employee must successfully undergo a comprehensive background investigation including a review of criminal, MVA and tax records; and determination of legal authorization to work in the United States or under the United States Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. Upon initial appointment OR promotion to a position in the State Personnel Management System, an employee is required to serve an initial six month probationary period. This probationary period may be extended an additional six months under certain circumstances at the discretion of the appointing authority.
