Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is:

  • Responsible for initiating contracts and agreements for project vendor assignments, tasks, and goals;
  • Provides program oversight and budget planning, financial management and accounting, project(s) or program financial reporting, and ensures grant compliance;
  • Develops, implements, manages, and tracks short and long-term plans for program operations and resources;
  • Coordinates the development of all PGCHEZ Care Coordination contractual documents and/or agreements with providers and all third party vendors;
  • Meet with community partners and other County officials as necessary to provide updates on PGCHEZ activities;
  • Assist with researching, identifying, developing, and responding to public and private grant opportunities in the area of public health; and,
  • Other related program duties as assigned by the Health Department and County Officials.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:    A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience:  Six years of administrative or professional experience, three years of which must be at a supervisory or management level.  A master's degree will substitute for one year of general experience.  A doctorate will substitute for two years of general experience.

NOTE:

Additional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the college degree.

BENEFITS

Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program (the Program), have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents.  As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.
