Main Purpose of Job

The Administrative Program Manager I (Director of Administration) position will provide administrative support services for the Harford County Health Department programs through budget and fiscal management, billing, database management, Human Resources services, IT, Procurement, MA Transportation, Fleet, Vital records, and facility/equipment oversight. This position assists the Deputy Health Officer in the day-to-day operation of the Department in order to help promote the health and welfare of the Harford County residents. The Director of Administration is an essential position at the health department and will be deployed as needed during emergencies or other crisis. This position is subject to weekend, evening/on-call, and after work hours to accommodate meetings, other departmental commitments and emergencies, if the need arises.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five years of administrative or professional experience, two years of which must be at a supervisory or management level.

- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks as well as delegate responsibilities.

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. A resume must accompany your application.
