To work on the ECI recovery Unit Project in HU 3 B tier. This will include assessment and treatment of substance abuse problems. This may also include inmates that are dually diagnosed. Additionally, this treatment tier utilizes peer mentors working directly with the participants so this position will also act as a liaison for the peers in relation to the clinical and custody staff responsbile for overseeing the unit.

Education:     Determined by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists under the requirements for Certified Associate Counselors.  

Experience:   Determined by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists under the certification requirements for Certified Associate Counselors.

1.       In accordance with Health Occupations Title 17 and Code of Maryland Regulations 10.58.07, candidates must be certified by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists as a Certified Associate Counselor.  

2.       Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle.  Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.  

Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs. This position also requires some evening and weekend hours.
