Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to function as a Ward Administrator I, with responsibility for direct oversight and management/administration of ward-based activities and supervision of clinical staff.  This position will function as a fully privileged member of the Medical Staff of C.T.P.H.C. as attending 20-30 bed in patient ward and act as the team leader of the interdisciplinary team, the physician will manage the administration of the ward and treatment provided to the patients under his/her supervision. This position will provide full psychiatric care, forensic evaluation and necessary and medical screening as necessary in conjunction with the medical clinic.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Requires an MD degree from an accredited college or university, Board Certification in Psychiatry, and two years of medical practice, preferably at a supervisory or administrative level.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Applicants must be licensed and currently registered with the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State law.  A copy of the current registration must be attached to the application.

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
