Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to assist in the preparation, assembly and service of nutritious and palatable food items for Holly Center residents. This position will: wash pots, pans, and insulated trays; perform cleaning and sanitation duties in the kitchen, cafeteria and work areas; clean equipment used in the performance of work duties; and, load food in dietary vehicle and transport to residences and/or to Activities Building at Holly Center. This position supports the mission of the facility and the department by ensuring that all individuals residing at Holly Center receive correct meals and snacks according to physicians orders and per the therapeutic diet sheet.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
