Main Purpose of Job

This position provides assistance and support to the Behavioral Health Program Director in managing the Behavioral Health program. This position will:  Plan, organize and supervise the work of assigned subordinate staff; Supervise the preparation of the budgets for the Behavioral Health Program; Review and assist in the development and implementation of Behavioral Health policies; and, Represent the Behavioral Health Program as the liaison with community partners and other agencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling, or a related field and six years professional clinical or administrative experience in health services, four of which must have been at the managerial or supervisory level.

Applicants may substitute a master’s or Doctoral degree in a health or human services field for up to two years of the required general experience.  A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus an additional year of professional experience in health services may be substituted for the specific degree.
