Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to identify educational needs of the facility, set priorities, develop lesson plans aligned with these needs, facilitate training and evaluate learning objectives through performance improvement processes.  This position will report to the Director of Staff Development & Education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience: Two years of experience planning and conducting employee development and training.

Notes: 1. Additional experience in planning, conducting or coordinating training or staff development activities may substitute on a year for year basis for the required education.    

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in education and training classification or education and training specialty codes in the education and training field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be evaluated.  The evaluation may be a rating of your application based on your education, training and experience as they relate to the requirements of the position.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide complete and accurate information on your application.  Please report all related education, experience, dates and hours of work.  For education obtained outside the U.S., a copy of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service must accompany the application.  All information concerning your qualifications must be submitted by the closing date.  We will not consider information submitted after this date.  Applicants certified to list will receive eligibility for a period of one (1) year.  Eligibility may be extended beyond one (1) year period.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
