Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to provide training and education to agency staff, community partners, foster parents and clients.The candidate is responsible for the design, development and the implementation of training and staff development activities. Designs, develops and implements training and staff development activities for agency staff that will help them to meet the goals and objectives of the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of the Baltimore City Department of Social Services in accordance with COMAR, the LJ Consent Decree, Action Transmittals, DHR and/or BCDSS policies and procedures.
POSITION DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Please describe in detail any specific job duties relating to the minimum qualifications stated below and include any computer software experience (ex. Excel, CHESSIE, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) used in each of the positions you held.
EDUCATION: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience planning and conducting employee development and training.
NOTES:
1. Additional experience in planning, conducting or coordinating training or staff development activities may substitute on a year for year basis for the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in education and training classification or education and training specialty codes in the education and training field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
