Main Purpose of Job

This position will plan, organize, implement, and coordinate a variety of assigned programs in the area of health services and will act as a liaison with officials in other agencies, private industries and local government in the execution of the local health services related to programs, committees and task forces assigned to the Division of Health Promotion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling or a related field.

Note:

1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus one year of professional experience in health services may be substituted for the specific degree.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The preferred candidate will have experience providing training and program implementation in the area of health services. Experience in coordinating a community health committees is also preferred.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
