Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to manage and provide direction to five critical program areas of service within the Office of General Services for the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. These areas include (1) Fleet Management, (2) Fixed Asset Inventory Management,(3) Agency Recycling, (4) Energy Monitoring and Reporting, and (5) Supply Room Administration. The position ensures that these programs operate effectively and efficiently and provide quality customer service to all DLLR divisions.
POSITION DUTIES
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
* Fixed Asset Management
* Supply Room Administration and Direction
* Fleet Operations
* Energy Monitoring & Reporting
* Recycling Program
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Four years of experience in administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Additional experience in administrative staff or professional work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year to year basis for the required general experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year to year basis for the required education and experience.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year of experience in inventory practices.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate should have FMIS experience and knowledge of receiving operations.
LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION
Must be a current employee of Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR).
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
All candidates are subject to a background check against files maintained by the Division of Unemployment Insurance (DLLR/DUI) to determine whether any monies are owed to DLLR/DUI as a result of unemployment overpayment/fraud. Any unpaid debt may have an impact on whether or not a candidate is offered employment.
