Main Purpose of Job

This position serves as an Administrative Officer performing as a vender coordinator, for FMIS accounting system, ADPICS and RSTARS, also functions to create purchase orders, and coordinate and arrange for travel, seminars, and course registrations, general purchases out of the FMIS system, and perform inventory control. This position also monitors the MHBE inbox finance which is the entry point of invoices for the agency.

POSITION DUTIES

This position serves as an Administrative Officer III performing duties for Finance and Accounting and Marketing Communications.

 

Finance and Accounting:

This position serves as a vender coordinator, for FMIS accounting system, ADPICS and RSTARS, also functions to create purchase orders, and coordinate and arrange for travel, seminars, and course registrations, general purchases out of the FMIS system, and perform inventory control. This position also monitors the MHBE inbox for finance which is the entry point of invoices for the agency.

 

Marketing and Communications:

This position is the liaison for the Marketing unit performing the following: (1) confirms accuracy of printing and promotional items with vendors. (2) tracks quantity and delivery information of printing and promotional items, as well as coordinates with statewide partners to ensure accurate and timely delivery. (3) This position is also responsible for confirming with hundreds of partners making sure delivery information is correct.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience: Three years experience in administrative or professional work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute additional experience in administrative staff or professional work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

 2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included the regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.  

LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION

This Recruitment is internal for Maryland Health Benefits Exchange employees.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
