Main Purpose of Job

The Business Partnership Coordinator Supervisor will assist the Business Partnership Manager with planning, implementing, and monitoring the Baltimore City Department of Social Services (BCDSS) Wage Subsidy, Customized Skills Training, and Work Experience Worksites. This position will foster, cultivate, and maintain a healthy professional relationship with the business, non-profit, and local government communities.

POSITION DUTIES

This position monitors and ensures all Business Partnership Coordinators plan, implement, and monitor the Baltimore City Department of Social Services (BCDSS) Wage Subsidy, Customized Skills Training, and Work Experience Worksites; fosters, cultivates, and maintains a healthy professional relationship with the business, non-profit, and local government communities; assists the Business Partnership Manager in planning, organizing, and executing workforce and economic development strategies through the seven (7) Family Investment Centers and Baltimore WORKS!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Please describe in detail any specific job duties relating to the minimum qualifications stated below.

Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Four years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.

Notes:

1. Additional professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Education at the graduate level at an accredited college or university in a human services related field at may be substituted the rate of 30 semester hours per year for up to two years of the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical, and Office Services field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the selective qualification(s) to be considered. Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

One year of the minimum required experience must have been in the Work Activity Program for Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) customers.

or

One year of the minimum required experience must have been in case management, employment and training, data analysis, and/or reporting. 

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong preference will be given to applicants that possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding the qualifications.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

1. One year experience in a consultative capacity with for-profit and nonprofit business organizations.

2. One year experience with contract and/or project management.

3. One year experience developing and cultivating community relationships with organizations.
