Main Purpose of Job

This is a part time 50% position. This position provides Clinical Nutrition Care Services to clients, in accordance with their assessed needs in support of the health care services provided by the facility and provides assistance to the Director of Dietary Services to maintain the Child Nutrition Education Programs for clients, staff and facility community, in compliance with Child Nutrition Program requirements. This position assists in the development of menus and assists in data management and development for the Dietary Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Dietetic Practice under the licensing requirements for Nutritionists and Dietitians.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1. Candidates for positions in the classification must possess a current license as a Dietitian/Nutritionist from the Maryland State Board of Dietetic Practice.

2. Candidates must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) prior to completion of probationary period and must maintain a current registration during their time of employment. Applicants who are currently registered should submit proof of CDR registration with application.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this classification may be required to provide the facility with a telephone number at which they can be reached.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
