Main Purpose of Job
This position supervises and directs all clinical pharmacy for the Pharmacy Services Division provided to MD Medicaid Pharmacy Program recipients through fee-for-service, managed care, long term care or other service delivery models. Program oversight includes the implementation and operation of the Prefered Drug List, review of each Managed Care Organization's (MCOs) Drug Use Management Program, Retrospective drug use review, compliance functions, cost containment, operation of boards and committees, and procurement of pharmacy services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must possess a Maryland Pharmacist license and four years experience as a registered pharmacist.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Clinical experience is preferred.
