Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible for Maryland’s Business Service Programs and staff training offered across the state.
Evaluates processes and delivery methods for compliance with State and Federal laws, regulations and program guidelines; assists with providing direction and technical assistance as required.
Main point of contact for state business service program and layoff aversion strategies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or Human Services or a combination of military and/or educational experience functionally equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree.
Six years of experience in an administrative or professional work capacity. Two years of this experience must have involved one or more of the following: the supervision of other employees, overseeing and coordinating the general operations of a unit, applying rules and regulations, or exercising responsibility for the development of policies or procedures.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior business development and/or workforce development experience.
Prior experience leading a regional team.
