Main Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for the Largo Office of the Central Collection Unit (CCU). This includes but is not limited to communicating with the Satellite Office Manager regarding personnel and operational issues as required; maintaining control of overtime; supervising Collection Agents who perform collection duties at the Satellite Office; supervising Fiscal Account Clerks who process payments and provides customer service to debtors waiting for service. This is a special appointment position that will serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:    A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.  

Experience:  Four years of full time experience collecting overdue payments for delinquent accounts owed.

LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION

Applicants must be willing to work in Prince Georges County, MD.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates are required to undergo a criminal background check as part of the selection process due to the financial nature of the job.
