Main Purpose of Job
The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants for a nurse analyst position in its Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU). Positions will work with Assistant Attorneys General and staff of the MFCU conducting confidential criminal and civil investigations of abuse and neglect in healthcare facilities receiving Medicaid funds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: Three years of experience as a registered nurse.
Notes: Applicants may substitute graduate education for the required general experience at the rate of thirty credits for one year of experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in forensic or geriatric nursing.
Experience investigating fraud by health care providers receiving Medicaid funds
Experience analyzing medical records
Experience testifying in a grand jury
Experience identifying, locating, and interviewing key witnesses
Word processing experience.
Ability to work throughout the state and at times outside the typical workday.
Must possess a valid Maryland driver's license.
Must have good communication and writing skills.
