LOCATION OF POSITION
DHMH, Anne Arundel County Health Department, Annapolis, MD
Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to manage the Department's Payroll and Timekeeping Office, which handles State Merit, State Contractual, County Merit, County Grant Funded, County Temporary Seasonal employees, Consultants and School Health employees. This position directly supervises the Fiscal Accounts Clerk Supervisor and indirectly supervises one Fiscal Accounts Clerk and one Office Services Clerk. This position is knowledgeable of and manages five different types of payrolls within two government systems, the State of Maryland and Anne Arundel County.
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of experience supervising the review, verification, recording, adjusting and balancing of financial transactions.
1. Additional experience calculating and recording financial, statistical or other numerical data may be substituted on a year for-year basis for the required high school education.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in Financial Clerical/Finance Technicians classifications or specialty codes in the financial field of work at a rate of one year of military experience for the required experience.
One year of experience must have involved using ADP and e-time experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The successful applicant should have auditing experience, and government experience.
