Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to plan, supervise, and execute maintenance and repair activities for the Camp Fretterd Military Reservation facilities. This position is critical for the continuing operation of all units, tenants, and civilians who occupy the facilities on-site.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of eighth grade.

Experience: Three years experience in licensed stationary engineering including two years of responsibility for assigning, reviewing and approving the work of other building maintenance or building construction workers.

Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military experience at a rank of Corporal/Petty Officer or higher, as a non-commissioned officer in utilities classifications or mechanical maintenance management specialty codes in utility systems repair, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1. Candidates for positions in the licensed option must possess and maintain a current Maryland First Grade Stationary Engineer License from the Board of Examining Engineers and must list the license number and date on the application.

2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
