The Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Office of General Services is accepting applications for a Maintenance Chief II-Licensed.

LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Operates central air conditioning equipment.
Conducts safety inspections of HVAC equipment.
Supervises and performs the cleaning, repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
Keeps fuel consumption records and prepares operating efficiency reports.
Organizes, schedules and coordinates the technical building maintenance work and installation services performed by skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled employees.
Adjusts, maintains, and makes minor repairs to refrigeraiton and cooling eqiument and other control devices.
Prepares specificaitons for the requisition of equipment, tools, parts, and supplies.
Inspects equipment, tools, parts and supplies when received to ensure compliance with specifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of eighth grade.
Experience: Three years experience in licensed stationary engineering including two years of responsibility for assigning, reviewing and approving the work of other building maintenance or building construction workers.
Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military experience at a rank of Corporal/Petty Officer or higher, as a non-commissioned officer in utilities classifications or mechanical maintenance management specialty codes in utility systems repair, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Candidates for positions in the licensed option must possess and maintain a current Maryland First Grade Stationary Engineer License from the Board of Examining Engineers and must list the license number and date on the application.
2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
