Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to supervise, direct, and review the work of State Care Coordinators, Peer Recovery Specialist, and MDRN staff. This position will attend staff meetings, assist Program Managers with clinic operations, and enforce polices of Carroll County Health Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling or a related field.

Notes: 1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus one year of professional experience in health services may be substituted for the specific degree.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate should have experience working with individuals that have mental health or substance abuse illnesses.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
