Main Purpose of Job

Responsible for the management and supervision of the Accident Reporting Section which consist of; Accident Reports, and M.A.A.R.S. within the Central Records Division. Responsible for the establishment, formulation and coordination of all work procedures, including the management of three distinctive computer systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.  

Experience: One year of experience supervising lower-level clerical employees.  

Notes:

1. Additional experience performing clerical duties may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.  

2. Applicants may substitute education from an accredited college or university at the rate of thirty semester credit hours for one year of experience on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience at a rank of Corporal/Petty Officer or higher as a non-commissioned officer in Administration classifications or Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the administrative support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.  

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

1) Experience reviewing statistically generated reports

2) Experience working at the municipal, county, state or federal level

3) Experience utilizing and monitoring computer databases

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates will be subject to an initial drug screen and a complete criminal background investigation before appointment can be made.

A criminal conviction may be grounds for rejection of the candidate.

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process for this recruitment will involve a review of each application. Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be placed on an eligible list in the BEST, BETTER or QUALIFIED category.

The list will be used by the hiring manager to select the individual to fill the vacancy.
