Main Purpose of Job

The Project Manager will serve as a Special Assistant to the Executive Director and Project Manager to HSCRC Staff.

Duties include:

  • Coordinates HSCRC workflow with Senior Management; researches and compiles information as directed by HSCRC Senior Management and may recommend innovative ideas or methods of doing business; promotes the work of the agency through frequent contact with interested groups and individuals; may work on confidential projects requiring discretion and judgment in the release of information; Liaison between the Executive Director and agency units as well as the general public; schedules, organizes and manages work group meeting, including assistance with PowerPoint presentations.
  • Responsible for developing, monitoring and facilitating project timelines; evaluates efficiency of project operations and develops, revises and recommends new policies, standards and workflow procedures, using new technology where appropriated; develops and recommends new standards, methods of operation and new technology to accomplish the mission of the HSCRC; Team leader for special projects; develops short and long-range plans for program operations and resources.
  • When necessary, may be required to assist Budget Chief and other administrative staff during peak work hours.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Two years of experience coordinating projects and managing workflow.

Notes:

1. Additional experience in administrative staff or professional work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year to year basis for the required general experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year to year basis for the required education and experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Background in health policy is preferred but not required.

Proficiency with PowerPoint or similar software is required.  Experience with basecamp or similar project management software is preferred.

Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills and an ability to handle multiple tasks.  Excellent communication skills will be invaluable in this roll.
