DHCD's Headquarters Office is located in Prince George's County at the New Carrollton Metro stop.
POSITION DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum and Selective Qualifications are REQUIRED. Please read carefully.
Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Six years of experience underwriting for residential mortgage lending to ensure thorough knowledge of loan operations in production, compliance, and servicing.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute additional experience in professional work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least one year of experience working with federal regulatory guidelines that governs governmental and conventionally insured mortgage loans.
- Designation as a FHA Direct Endorsement (D.E.) underwriter
- Experience with or certification relating to compliance functions.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work in a team environment, and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Successful candidate will possess good problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
