Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Provide leadership and direction to program supervisors in Social Services and Family Investment.
- Provide leadership and direction for all aspects of organizational development and excellence of the department.
- Ensure the department's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Represent the department at numerous planning, advisory, advocacy and issue oriented groups.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Posession of a master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university approved by the Council on Social Work Education.
Experience: Seven (7) years of professional experience in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or institution, two (2) years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and/or experience in public financial assistance programs.
- Experience in integrating policy to local practice.
- Clinical experience in adult, child and family welfare.
- Experience in budget management.
